Wildlife Safari In Gujarat Day-1:
AHMEDABAD - DASADA Arrive at Ahmedabad and travel 90 km (two hours
north) to Dasada. Evening safari in the Little Rann of Kutch, a desert
wildlife sanctuary, known as the last abode of the Asiatic wild ass in the
Indian peninsula. During the drive, watch for other endangered wildlife like
the wolf, Indian and desert foxes, Indian gazelle, Macqueen's bustard, etc.
Witness the sunset at Bajana Lake, where flamingos, pelicans, demmossile and
common cranes, and other magnificent birds gather in numbers beyond
comprehension.
Meals and o/n at Rann Riders, an imaginatively designed
safari resort with a/c cottages built from local materials to resemble a
local village featuring long wicker beds, work table, dressing area and a
tiled bath with hot-and-cold showers.
Day-2:
DASADA - SAYLA Drive to Nalsarovar Bird Sanctuary and watch birds
on the eastern edge of the lake. Boat safari to the western edge getting off
at Ranagarh Village where the vehicle will be waiting. Drive to Sayla and
stay at Old Bell Guest House, a heritage hotel.
Day-3:
SAYLA - GIR Drive to Botad and watch large herds of blackbuck
antelope. Continue to Gir passing the Hingolgadh Sanctuary where chinkara
gazelle and nilgai could be seen on the road. Stay at Gir Birding Lodge.
Day-4: Drives in the Gir National Park &
Wildlife Sanctuary. This deciduous forest is the last abode of the Asiatic
lion and also has a thriving panther (leopard) population. It also has a
large population of chital or spotted deer, sambar, blue bull antelope,
chinkara gazelle, chousingha (the world's only four-horned antelope), wild
boar and other wildlife. A number of attractive birds can be seen on the
game-drive trail.

Day-5
& 6: GIR NATIONAL PARK & WILDLIFE SANCTUARY Morning and
evening drives in the Gir forests to look for the two big cats and to watch
other wildlife.
Between the drives, visit Somnath to see the shore
temple (one of the 12 holy abodes of Shiva), Sun Temple, Ahilya Temple and
other monuments.
Dinner and o/n at Gir Birding Lodge.
Day-7:
Drive back to Ahmedabad for return flight.

Gir Wildlife Safari Day-1:
AHMEDABAD - SAYLA Arrive at Ahmedabad and travel 136 km (2 ½
hrs) to Sayla. Afternoon visit to Latura to see the Asiatic Wild Ass
Day-2:
SAYLA- GIR Drive to Gir (265km/5-hours driving time) calling in on
the way at Junagadh to see the imposing Uparkot Fort, Buddhist cave-sites,
3rd century BC Ashoka rock edicts, the palace museum filled with Nawabi
treasures, the flamboyant royal mausoleum complexes.
Arrive lunch-time
at Gir Birding Lodge and depart after your meal for a safari in the Gir

it resides some of the unique wild attractions within its numerous
sanctuaries. During the WildLife in West India Tour we will visit the Wild
Ass Sanctuary which is situated in the Little Rann of Kutch. This sanctuary
is famous for the large wild Ass herds. During our wildlife tour we will
also visit another wildlife sanctuary which is Gir National Park popularly
known as SasanGir. This national park is the sole surviving natural habitat
of the Asiatic Lions.

Ahmedabad - Little Rann of Kutch In the morning we will drive
towards the Little Rann of Kutch to visit the Wild Ass Sanctuary. There we
will see the Asiatic Wild Ass and other faunal attractions. Rann of Kutch is
the bleakest, dustiest, and hottest region in India. It covers an area of
100 square km. The seasonal salt marshes provides refuge for the last
population of the endangered Asiatic wild ass and supports the one of the
world's largest breeding colonies of the Greater and Lesser Flamingos.
WildLife in West India Day 05: Little Rann of Kutch - Gir
National Park In the morning we will drive from Little Rann of
Kutch to visit Gir National Park. Gir National Park is the last refuge of
the Asiatic Lion. It covers an area of 1412 square km of scrub and
grassland, dry deciduous forest and some marshland. Besides lions, Gir has
Antelopes, Deer, Leopards, Hyenas, Sambars, Chital, Nilgai, Chinkara,
Chowsinghas, Crocodiles and Jackals, along with a spectacular array of
birds. It was declared as a national park in the year 1965.

Ahmedabad In the morning after having our breakfast we can have an
optional ride in the Gir National Park (if wished so) or drive to Ahmedabad.
Arrive in Ahmedabad by afternoon. In the evening we have sightseeing of
Ahmedabad. We will visit Jama Masjid, Sabarmati Ashram, Swami Narayan temple
and various other places.

Day 07: Ahmedabad - Bangalore In the morning we will drive to the
airport for the flight to Bangalore. We will arrive in Bangalore by the
afternoon. The cosmopolitan city and capital of Karnataka is the main
gateway for the travellers. Upon arrival, you will be met by an Indo
Vacations representative and transferred to the hotel.

in West India Day 08: Bangalore - Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary In the
morning we will drive further to visit Dandeli Wildlife Sanctuary. Dandeli
Wildlife Sanctuary is reputed as the largest wildlife sanctuary in
Karnataka. It covers an area of 834.16 square km. The Dandeli wildlife
sanctuary is the second largest sanctuary in Karnataka. The undulating
streams, swaying bamboos, abundance of wildlife, sylvan surroundings and
trekking tracts make Dandeli sanctuary a unique holiday destination. This
sanctuary is a home of the Barking and Spotted Mouse Deer, Sambar, Sloth
Bear, Panther, Tiger, Gaur, Elephant, Wild Dog, Civet Cat, Bison, Jackal,
Langur and Giant Flying Squirrel. It also has a large variety of colorful
birds and reptiles including crocodiles. The forest of Dandeli Sanctuary is
deciduous and semi-evergreen and abounds with a richness of flora and fauna.

Sanctuary - Goa In the morning we can have an elephant ride to view
the nature and wildlife in the Dandeli WildLife Sanctuary. In the afternoon
drive to Goa. We will arrive in Goa by the evening. Evening free for
leisure.

This day free for relaxation and enjoyment at the beaches of Goa.
WildLife in West India Day 11: Goa - Mumbai In the
morning we will drive to the airport for a flight to Mumbai. Evening at
leisure. After having the dinner transfer to the Airport.
