carriage decorated in the distinctive style of a
regional Maharaja. See the colorful state of Rajasthan
in all its splendor and the Taj Mahal at Agra. . . a

journey into the past on a luxury train. This fully
air conditioned train includes two restaurant coaches
and a bar coach with an attached library. Each bedroom
has an attached bath with running hot/cold water and

DAY 1: DELHI Check in at 3:00 pm. Dinner
onboard the Palace on Wheels. Depart for Jaipur.
DAY 2: JAIPUR You will be greeted by
caparisoned elephants and strains of the shehnai...
Welcome to the Pink City of Jaipur. Lunch at Rambagh
Palace. Discover Hawa Mahal, City Palace Museum,
Nahargarh Fort, Amber Fort...silent sentinels to a
glorious era. DAY 3: JAISALMER Arrive
at the 12th century city of Jaisalmer dominated by its
sandstone fort of 99 bastions. Visit the exquisitely
carved havelis and palaces with their latticed windows,
balconies, cupolas and facades. Experience the famed
camel safaris. Later enjoy a feast of Rajasthani cuisine
accompanied by music and folk dancing. DAY
4: JODHPUR The Mehrangarh Fort is all-pervasive
in this 15th century city. Visit this magnificent fort
and Jaswant Thada, a royal cenotaph close by. Lunch is
served at the Umaid Bhawan Palace-the royal residence-a
part of which is now a hotel. DAY 5:
SAWAI MADHOPUR TIGER RESERVE / CHITTORGARH Welcome
to the tranquility of Sawai Madhopur and the beautiful
10th century fort of Ranthambhor. Surrounded by the
Ranthambore National Park, a Project Tiger reserve, the
imposing ramparts of the fort soar above... they too
have tales to tell! Continue on to Chittorgarh. Images
of love and valour; scars of battles lost and battles
won... Thrice besieged the fortified bastion of
Chittorgarh is all this and more. The moving legends of
honor and pride will linger in your memory long after
you leave this place.
DAY 6: UDAIPUR Proceed to Udaipur, the city
of lakes, palaces and gardens, temples and forts this
morning. Lunch at the Lake Palace Hotel, the former
summer residence of the princess of Mewar. Enjoy the
tranquility of Lake Pichola... Visit the City Palace
in all its ancient glory, the residence of the
maharajas of Udaipur. DAY 7: BHARATPUR
BIRD SANCTUARY / FATEHPUR SIKRI / AGRA / DELHI
A wonderland for birds, visit the renowned
Keoladeo Ghana National Park at Bharatpur, once the
preserve of the maharaja of Bharatpur and now a world
heritage site. It is home to 300 species of birds-some
flying in from as far as Siberia and China. Visit
Fatehpur Sikri en route to Agra. The palaces of the
Mughal emperor, Akbar, as well as tombs and mosques in
his capital are truly magnificent. Lunch at the Taj
View in Agra and proceed to one of the most beautiful
monuments ever conceived: The Taj Mahal, built by
emperor Shah Jahan to commemorate eternal love for his
queen, Mumtaz Mahal. Breathtaking in its proportions
and craftsmanship, it is captivating. The timeless
city of Agra offers you many more monuments and tombs,

DAY 8: ARRIVE DELHI Arrive in Delhi
at 7:30 in the morning.

TREASURES OF INDIA BY TRAIN
Day
1- Arrive Delhi Arrive Delhi on arrival
Garlanding & traditional welcome, transfer to the
Hotel. In afternoon proceed on a tour of the capital
city.
Day 2- To Agra
Drive (4hrs) enjoying picturesque countryside to
Agra. On arrival Check in at Hotel. Afternoon city
sightseeing O/N at hotel.
Day 3- To
Varanasi In the morning enjoy an excursion to
Fatehpur Sikri, the red sandstone city of yesteryears.
The Mughal Emperor Akbar built the city in AD 1564 in
honour of the Muslim saint Sheikh Salim Chisthi.
Return to Agra in the afternoon. Rest of the time is
free till evening when you will board an overnight
train to Varanasi. Overnight on board the train.
Day 4- Arrive Varanasi Arrive
Varanasi in the morning on arrival transfer to the
hotel. Later visit temples like Kashi Vishwanath
dedicated to Lord Shiva; Bharat Mata Mandir dedicated
to Mother India. Also see Sarnath, an important
Buddhist pilgrimage point O/N at Hotel.
Day 5- To
Kolkata Enjoy
a boat ride on River Ganges in the morning. Afternoon
is to explore the colorful bazaars walking around. You
will be transferred to railway station in the evening
to board train for Kolkata. Overnight on board the
train.
Day 6- Arrive
Kolkata Arrive Kolkata, once the capital of
the British Empire; formerly known as Calcutta, it
remains the cultural capital of India with strong
tradition in literature and fine arts. Afternoon visit
city O/N at hotel.
Day 7- In Kolkata
Morning is free to visit Dakshineshwar
Temple & Botnical garden. Check out and transfer
to railway station to connect overnight train to
Hyderabad. Overnight on board the train.
Day 8- In
Hyderabad
Arrive in the morning on arrival transfer to the
Hotel. Later visit the city of Nizam's. evening
transfer to Rly stn to board Overnight train for
Chennai
Day 9- In Chennai
Arrive
Chennai on arrival transfer to the hotel. Later
proceed for the tour of the city. O/N at hotel.
Day 10- In
Chennai Proceed for an excursion to
Mahabalipuram & Kancheepuram. The ancient Pallava
port, 64km from Chennai, Return to Chennai and connect
an overnight train to Trivandrum.
Day 11- To Trivandrum Arrive Trivandrum on
arrival transfer to the hotel. Trivandrum named after
the holy serpent, the thousand-headed Anantha. Later
proceed the, one of the major Indian cities on the famed
Malabar Coast. O/N at hotel.
Day 12- To Cape
Take a full day trip to Kanyakumari, famous for
its brilliant sunsets and sunrises. It is India's
'land's' end at the confluence of the Indian Ocean.
Return in the evening to Trivandrum
Day 13- To Cochin
Morning in time transfer to railway station
enable board train to Cochin, a myriad of tiny islands
set in the shimmering blue Arabian Sea, against a lush
backdrop. It has one of the most beautiful harbors on
India's. O/N at hotel.
Day 14- In Cochin
Full day sightseeing of the city. In the evening
time to transfer to Rly Stn. to board train for Goa.
Overnight on board the train.
Day 15- Arrive
Goa Arrive Goa and transfer to your beach
resort for three nights' stay. Goa, a tiny emerald
land of 3,702 Sq.Kms. on the west coast of India, with

Free at Leisure. In the evening transfer to the Rly
stn. time to board train for Mumbai. Overnight aboard
the train.
Day 19- Leave
Mumbai Arrive Mumbai and transfer to the
city to check in at one of the hotels (Wash &
Change). Before starting a tour of the city. Late
evening you will be transferred to International
airport to connect your onward flight
